I was once again reminded why I read Jen Funk Segrest's VeryBigBlog. I'm not usually a huge fan of her designs (although they are very well done), but every couple of days she says something that just tickles me.
Here's a great quote from a thread on how people freeload so much on free design/art/whatever sites:
First i HATE the title "artist".
I prefer "Design Mercenary".
Design is meant to [be] temporary, and current.
Art is timelss and permanant.
What I do is NOT art.
I actually DO make a living off it. (Not pixeldecor, but the web stuff) Which lso makes it suspect of not being "art"
